MANILA, Philippines – German “Kuya Germs” Moreno was laid to rest on Thursday, January 14 at the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina.

At the mass, Kuya Germs’ adopted son, Federico, remembered him, saying: “That’s how selfless my father is. He treated me so well. I had a great life because of him, I had a wonderful life.” (READ: Federico Moreno on father Kuya Germs: ‘He’s a selfless man’)

Federico also took the time to thank those close to Kuya Germs, and his adopted family, who he said never made him feel like an outsider. 

It was an emotional farewell later at Loyola Memorial, as those whose lives Kuya Germs touched remembered him.


 

Superstar Nora Aunor said, “Kuya Germs, magkikita-kita tayo sa taas. Ganoon po kayo ka-importante. At hindi ko iisipin na wala kayo, andiyan pa rin kayo sa puso ng lahat ng mga nakakarami, at lalo na po, nandito kayo sa puso ko po.”

(Kuya Germs, we’ll see each other up there. That’s how important you are. And I won’t think that you’re gone, you’re still here in the hearts of many, and most especially, you are here in my heart.)


 

Actress and Cavite Representative Lani Mercado said that Kuya Germs was like a father to them, and shared about the last Christmas they had together.

Actors Jake Vargas and Ken Chan shared that Kuya Germs taught them to do everything for their craft.
