LOOK: Sharon Cuneta visits Gary Valenciano after his heart bypass operation

MANILA, Philippines –  Actress Sharon Cuneta was one of the many close friends of Gary Valenciano who visited him at the hospital, following his heart bypass operation on Sunday, May 6.

On Instagram, Sharon, shared that she had a doctor’s check-up for her lipoma surgery and dropped by to see Gary, her brother-in-law and co-judge on Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids. Sharon is married to Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, brother of Gary’s wife Angeli.

“Yesterday, I had an ultrasound done on the back of my neck where I had my lipoma surgery almost two months ago. There’s more of it left. I could leave it there but it’s unattractive and makes my shoulders look uneven. Plus – even if it’s a well-known fact that I’m a Vilmanian, [Lucky Manzano]  ayoko naman i-remake ang movie nyang “Kampanerang Kuba” nang di na kailangan ng pekeng kuba! (I don’t want to remake the movei Kampanerang Kuba, that does not need a fake the hunchback) Scheduling another surgery for what’s left asap ,” Sharon said.

“I also visited my beloved Kuya Gary whom I’ve loved and adored since long before we became relatives. I am happy to let you know that God really pulled him through this delicate heart issue with favor and grace. I texted Kiko afterwards saying na nakakaiyak (I was getting teary-eyed) cos am not used to seeing Gary so low-batt! But he’s just recovering, folks. He had that dang blockage in his heart and was still performing like THAT?! Just wait til he’s performing AGAIN! I love you my Kuya Gary. Get well asap cos we miss you! Please pray for his speedy and complete recovery.”

On Tuesday, May 8, Gary gave an update on his condition, saying that he was getting better.

“Still, some way to go ’til I get back to tip top shape. To all who have prayed for me, I thank you from the bottom of this new heart of mine. God bless you more,” he said.

The singer said he underwent a heart bypass operation after discovering that the left anterior descending artery of his heart had a problem due to diabetes. – Rappler.com
