Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla: No feud between us and JaDine
MANILA, Philippines – Teen love team Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla dismissed rumors about a feud between them and "rival" love tandem James Reid and Nadine Lustre.
In an interview with reporters during the Pangako Sa 'Yo grand press conference on Thursday, May 14, Kathryn said that she and Nadine were okay, and even shared about the time Nadine reached out to her during an ASAP episode one Sunday.
"Kagaya ng sinabi niya [Nadine], buti nga na-break na yung ice, finally. Thanks to Bang [Pineda, fashion designer], kasi ang hirap. Madaming mga kuwento, tapos kami, parang nauunahan agad yung impression. So, happy ako finally nag-meet kami. And I'm looking forward na sana sa ASAP, sa mga guestings, makasama ko siya para mas makilala ko siya." said Kathryn.
(Like what she said, good for her to break the ice, finally, thanks to Bang. There were so many rumors, and of course, these rumors come first and make the impression before we say something, so I'm happy that we finally met. And I'm looking forward to being with her during any episodes of ASAP and other guestings so I can get to know her better.)
She also congratulated James and Nadine on their new movie Para Sa Hopeless Romantic.
She also added that James and Daniel would click as friends, but said that it's hard to get together due to their busy schedules. "I'm sure na mga lalaki, bilis yan mag-jive, pag mag-basketball, ganyan."
(I'm sure that with the boys, it'll be so easy for them to jive, maybe during a game of basketball.)
Daniel also said that there should not be any awkwardness between them as well. "Wala, wala. I did see him, walang awkward. Kapwa artista natin iyan, kaibigan natin lahat."
(No, none. I did see him, no awkwardness. He's one of our actors, and he should be our friend as well.) – Rappler.com
