
MANILA, Philippines – A new Miss World Philippines (MWP) crown has been shown off!
On Thursday, August 31, the MWP organization, led by national director Arnold Vegafria and general manager Bessie Besana, showcased the crown during the pageant’s Gala Night, held at the New World Hotel.
The crown will be used at the pageant’s coronation night on Sunday, September 3, at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The crown was conceptualized by Miss World 2013 Megan Young. According to Megan, the crown was inspired by the country’s Pearl of the Orient tag. The crown include pearls and sapphire.

The past Miss World Philippines titleholders – Gwendoline Ruais, Quennie Rehmann, Valerie Weigmann, and Hillarie Parungao were present at the event.
Thirty-five ladies from all over the Philippines will compete for the crown and will represent the country in Sanya, China on November. – Rappler.com
