MANILA, Philippines – Bencelle is a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. She was a recipient of the Gold Student Leader award.
She says she experienced frequent bullying in school as a kid because of her prominent ears and dark complexion. She decided to join the competition to prove to herself that she can overcome that negative experience.
