Marco Gumabao tells sister Michele: ‘I’m proud of you’

Actor Marco Gumabao congratulated his sister Michele after she placed 2nd runner-up in the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 pageant that aired Sunday, October 25.

In a message posted on his Instagram stories Sunday evening, Marco wrote: “Proud of you. I don’t agree with the decision but now’s not the time to be bitter about it. I know this is God’s plan. We’re just getting started.”

“Love you Michele.”

Marco’s message comes after Michele issued a statement clarifying why she was not presence during the formal announcement of winners in Baguio after the pageant’s airing.

“I left this morning sa BCC [Baguio Country Club] while the pageant was ongoing. I knew who won last night pa I tried to go to our viewing party but everyone kept asking what happened all the hugs all the looks I couldn’t handle that,” she said through pageant camp Aces and Queens.

“I can handle defeat hahahaha. I can’t handle the people asking me why why why…I’m sharing this with you because you deserve to know my side, we don’t need to defend to anyone. I did my best and I have no regrets.”

Rabiya Mateo of Iloilo was crowned this year’s winner and will represent the Philippines in the Miss Universe pageant. – Rappler.com
