Meanwhile, the age limit for Mister Supranational is now at 34 years old

MANILA, Philippines – The Miss Supranational organization announced on Monday, November 21, that female candidates up to the age of 32 years old are now eligible to join the pageant.

The organization said that they made the decision after conducting a survey among national license holders. Previous editions of the pageant only accepted candidates aged between 18 to 28.

Meanwhile, the Mister Supranational pageant also announced that their new age limit is set at 34 years old.

Candidates are also required to be identified as female and male in official documents, for Miss and Mister Supranational pageants, respectively, and should “never been married or have had children.”

The changes will apply starting on its 2023 editions, with the candidates needing to be within the age range on the day of the pageant finals.

“Each national organization will continue to have the final say in determining the most appropriate requirements for the country they are working in,” they added.

The Philippines’ has only won one Miss Supranational crown through Mutya Daul in 2013, while no Filipino has won the Mister Supranational title yet. – Rappler.com
