'How could we ever do a new chapter of the Sex and the City story without our Mr. Big?' the show's executive producer, Michael Patrick King, says in an interview with Deadline

Mr. Big is back! Actor Chris Noth’s iconic character will return for HBO Max’s upcoming Sex and The City reboot, the show’s producers officially confirmed on Wednesday, May 26.

“How could we ever do a new chapter of the Sex and the City story without our Mr. Big?” Michael Patrick King, executive producer of the show, told Deadline in an interview.

Roth returns alongside the main trio of Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis who are also back to reprise their roles as Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, and Charlotte York, respectively. Together they will “navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.”

Mr. Big is an infamous recurring character in the popular series, known for being closed-off with his feelings and as the on-and-off love interest of Carrie Bradshaw (whom he eventually marries in the film version of the series).

The highly-anticipated reboot And Just Like That… will also include their first openly non-binary character, played by Sara Ramírez. Kim Cattrall, who played lead character Samantha Jones in the show, is not set to return.

And Just Like That… will have over 10 half-hour episodes. The official release schedule is yet to be announced by HBO. – with reports from Angelica Burlaza/Rappler.com
