According to a Variety report, the series will be a dark comedy starring sinister witch Agatha Harkness, the character behind the catchy “Agatha All Along” song from WandaVision’s seventh episode. Plot details have not been disclosed.
The spin-off series will have Jac Schaeffer as writer and executive producer. Shaeffer, who was the head writer for WandaVision, also wrote for animated short Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, The Hustle with Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson, and Marvel’s Black Widow.
Hahn’s performance as nosy-neighbor-turned-evil-witch Agatha garnered critical acclaim and a handful of awards. Hahn won the MTV Movie Award for Best Villain, Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series award from the Hollywood Critics Association, and an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series.
Superhero dramedy WandaVision was chosen Best TV Show in the fan-voted MTV Movie and TV Awards in May and scored 23 Emmy nominations, including for stars Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen, who played Vision and Wanda Maximoff, respectively. – Rappler.com
