MYTH: The best of all worlds

Designer Joel Escober was on hand that afternoon that RAPPLER visited their store to tell us more about Myth and his designs.

Ms. Ruby Gan was there during our visit, too; but ever the low-profile businesswoman (and athlete and mom), she preferred to stay behind the scenes — behind the counter, even, as we went about with our interview and shoot.

I personally will not forget the kindness she showed me when I was a young magazine editor. Ruby’s no-nonsense approach to work and business makes her one of the easier people to work with, who has work ethics that other fashion industry practitioners can take a thing or two out of.

Did I mention she’s an awarded power lifter? But that’s another story.
