MANILA, Philippines – The finals night of Mr Gay World Philippines 2016 opened with a festive, celebratory mood, as the 34 candidates paraded in their national costumes, representing the cities and provinces they came from.

John Raspado of Baguio City, who emerged as the winner of this year’s competition won the Best in National Costume.

The costume of Agusan del Sur is called the Golden Tara, which can be found in the province.

Bacolod City’s costume is composed of masks and a homage to the festival the city is known for.
