MANILA, Philippines – It was sweltering hot outside, but it rained comics fans and creators on Saturday, April 13.

The 9th Summer Philippine Comicbook Convention, popularly known as Summer Komikon, kicked off at the Bayanihan Center, Pioneer Street, Pasig City.

Participants included Budjette Tan (Trese), Paolo Fabregas (Filipino Heroes League), Manix Abrera (12), Gerry Alanguilan (Elmer), Gilbert Monsanto (Bayan Knights), Leinil Yu (Avengers), and Stephen Segovia (X-treme X-Men).

ALL AGES. Expect crowds of all ages at this popular summer event.
