Rappler Talk with Kakie Pangilian: #HijaAko and finding one’s voice

MANILA, Philippines – Frankie “Kakie” Pangilinan had a childhood many wouldn’t even be able to imagine. She was born to the country’s “Megastar” Sharon Cuneta and then-newly elected Senator Francis Pangilinan.

The young Kakie was first introduced to the public when she was just a days-old baby who, in her own words, looked more like an “uod” than a newborn. While she’s never fully been out of the spotlight since, it is, perhaps, only in the last few years that Simone Francesca Emmanuelle Cuneta Pangilinan has truly come out of her shell – accepting not just the celebrity world she was born into, but embracing the responsibilities that come with it.
