H&M to open store in PH in 2014

MANILA, Philippines – After over a year of speculating, fans of H&M can now celebrate. The Swedish retail brand has confirmed that it is coming to Manila.

In a press release issued in the H&M website, the brand announced that its flagship store will be opening in SM Megamall by 2014. 

H&M’s opening in the country is a much awaited development after SM brought in Forever 21 and Uniqlo – two international clothing retail brands from the US and Japan.

H&M stands for Hennes & Mauritz AB. A Swedish clothing brand that first opened in the Västerås high street in 1947. It has 3,000 stores worldwide and currently employs 104,000 people. The brand is also one of the world’s largest users of organic cotton.

The H&M group also carries the brands & Other Stores, COS, Cheap Monday, Weekday, and Monki. – Rappler.com
