LOOK: Pia Wurtzbach meets Miss Universe 2013 Gabriela Isler

MANILA, Philippines – Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach got the opportunity to meet one of her predecessors. On Wednesday, May 4, Pia met with Miss Universe 2013 Gabriela Isler of Venezuela during an event for Cordaid.

On Instagram Pia wrote:  “I still fan girl over the former title-holders when I see them. My intro is always “OMG I’m a fan!” This is what happens to you when you watch Miss Universe over and over for years and the funny little things we talked about like “so my room was your room?” Priceless! Bummed that we didn’t see [Ara Arida]! Next time [Molly Isler] is so nice and regal! Love her oh and did you know she was one of the judges the year that i didn’t make it in Miss Philippines? She says everything happens for a reason. God’s perfect timing.”

All for a cause! When fashion and charities collide. Huge amount of the proceeds go to @cordaid for relief operations and local entrepreneurship support. I personally cannot wait for CordAids’ plans for the Philippines.

In 2014, Gabriela visited the country as part of the Miss Universe organization’s project with Cordaid for the people affected by supertyphoon Yolanda (Haiyan) in 2013.  She was also a judge during the Binibining Pilipinas 2014 coronation night. where Mary Jean Lastimosa won the Miss Universe Philippines title.  – Rappler.com
