MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Foreigners speaking Filipino isn’t a new concept for most of us.
A quick browse through YouTube will lead you to such local hits as the Australian who ordered a Jollibee meal in straight Tagalog, the Pakistani taxi driver in Dubai who spoke to his passengers in Tagalog, and many more amusing videos of “foreignoys.“
This time, some Americans show love for the Philippines’ second most spoken language: Bisaya.
A few days ago, the YouTube channel ‘Hey Joe Show‘ uploaded a video where 5 young American men introduce themselves to the internet world through humorous antics. The real winning point is that they do it all in straight and fluent Bisaya.
Sumner, Connor, Jake, Tylan, and Davis star in this potentially hilarious new YouTube show that is sure to have our “bisdak” (a portmanteau of the words “Bisayang dako” or someone who is “very Visayan”) countrymen in stitches.
Their second video is out and it’s even funnier than the first!
