MANILA, Philippines – The more entries you send, the more chances of winning?
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) ordered the set up of Masa Masid drop boxes, via a memorandum circular dated August 29, in cities, municipalities, and barangays nationwide. The drop box will serve as a criminality and drugs reporting tool for communities.
Netizens, though, were quick to comment on the possible abuse of the drop box, saying it’s vulnerable to interference and could be used as a tool of vengeance for neighbors, who hold grudges.

Some netizens said the Philippine National Police (PNP) should have come up with a better idea to get intel.
Facebook user Lou Gepuela raised issues on accountability for the sender and receiver.
In the comments of Gepuela’s post, Bike Scouts Philippines’ Myles Delfin pointed out that “there’s no way to verify this kind of data” and this will cause an “irreparable damage” in communities.
