The Arroyo camp asked the Sandiganbayan's permission early Friday morning

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – The Sandiganbayan on Friday, May 2, allowed detained former president and now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to undergo a medical check-up at St. Luke’s in Quezon City.

Arroyo arrived in St. Luke’s shortly before 2 pm. She was accompanied by son Dato Arroyo and other members of the Arroyo family.

The Arroyo camp asked the court’s permission Friday morning at 8:30 am, court sources told Rappler. The anti-graft court’s first division granted the request 10 am.

Quoting Arroyo’s lawyer, Modesto Ticman Jr., ABS-CBN said Arroyo will undergo ”urodynamic testing” since she has difficulty urinating.
