MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – A First North Luzon Transit bus on the northbound lane of EDSA in Cubao, Quezon City caught fire Saturday afternoon, November 29.

The bus with plate number CWW 438 was in flames near the EDSA-General MacArthur Avenue intersection at around 4 pm, said the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Metrobase.

Fire trucks from the MMDA and Barangay Socorro put out the blaze. MMDA reported that as of 5:20 pm the bus was cleared from the road by an accredited tow truck company.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
