WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

With 10 days to go in the campaign, presidential frontrunner Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has his eyes set on Central Luzon, which has 7.28 million voters or 11% of the total voting population of the country.

According to the March Pulse Asia survey, Marcos still leads Central Luzon 66-13 compared to closest rival Vice President Leni Robredo. But despite the support of local politicians in the region, his number did not move here, whereas Robredo moved one point.

On Friday, April 29, Marcos will visit Nueva Ecija and Pampanga – two provinces that delivered a massive turnout for the Robredo-Francis Pangilinan rallies. Robredo and Pangilinan gathered 50,000 in Nueva Ecija and 220,000 in Pampanga.

Both provinces are vote rich: Nueva Ecija is 11th most vote rich with 1.54 million, while Pampanga is 10th vote rich with 1.58 million voters. Marcos won both provinces in the 2016 vice presidential race.

Marcos will be in Cabanatuan City on Friday afternoon and in San Fernando, Pampanga, in the evening, at the same venue as Robredo’s previous rally.
