PH coronavirus cases now at 514,996

The Philippines now has 514,996 confirmed COVID-19 cases after the Department of Health (DOH) reported 1,581 additional cases on Monday, January 25.

The DOH also reported 50 new deaths due to the coronavirus disease, bringing the death toll to 10,292. Meanwhile, recoveries are up by 13, raising the total to 475,422.

Of the total cases, 29,282 are active.

Philippines’ COVID-19 tally hits 513,619

The Philippines now has 513,619 confirmed COVID-19 cases after the Department of Health (DOH) reported 1,949 new cases on Sunday, January 24.

The DOH reported 53 new deaths due to the coronavirus disease, bringing the death toll to 10,242, while the recoveries are up by 7,729, raising total recoveries to 475,612.

Of the total cases, 27,765 are active.

Clark agency allots P400,000 to vaccinate employees

The Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) said it has allocated P400,000 ($8,300) from its 2021 budget to buy COVID-19 vaccines for its employees.

“We hope this modest initiative of CIAC helps the government in its continued efforts to fight. COVID-19,” said CIAC president Aaron Aquino in a statement Sunday, January 25.
