The latest development in the case of the death of 23-year-old flight attendant Christine Angelica Dacera is a release order for the 3 detained suspects.
A Makati City prosecutor ordered the release of the suspects on Wednesday, January 6, saying that the police submitted “insufficient” evidence to prove Dacera was raped and killed.
Forensic pathologist Raquel Fortun in a Rappler Talk said it’s already “too late” to swab Dacera to find substantial evidence of rape.
