LPA bringing rain to extreme north Luzon

MANILA, Philippines - North Luzon will have moderate to occasionally heavy rain Thursday, August 1, as a low pressure area hovers in the area.
The low pressure area was spotted 60 kilometers northeast of Calayan Island, Cagayan (19.8˚N, 121.8˚E) as of 10 am Thursday.
It will affect Batanes and the Calayan and Babuyan islands, where cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rain will prevail, state weather bureau PAGASA said.
These conditions might trigger flash floods and landslides, and people in these areas should prepare accordingly.
