MANILA, Philippines – Different parts of the country will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms on Saturday, September 30 due to two low pressure areas (LPA), state weather bureau PAGASA said.

In its 4 pm bulletin Friday, September 29, PAGASA said the LPA located at 350 km east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar is affecting Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, and Central Visayas, while the LPA located 140 km north of Casiguran, Aurora is affecting the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon.

Areas affected by the LPAs can expect possible lightning, light to moderate to occasionally heavy rains, strong winds, and flashfloods.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila, and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, mostly in the afternoon or evening.

Coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate as light to moderate winds blow from the northeast to northwest over Luzon, and from the southwest to southeast over Visayas and Mindanao. – Rappler.com
