MANILA, Philippines – Storm warning signal #1 is still in effect over 11 provinces as tropical depression Isang continues to move towards northeast Luzon Tuesday, July 16.

Isang slowed down a bit Tuesday morning, and was located 280 km east of Baler, Aurora (15.4°N, 124.5°E) as of 10 am, carrying maximum winds of 45 km/h near the center, PAGASA said in its 11 am bulletin.

Signal number 1 is still in effect over the following provinces:

  • Ilocos Norte
  • Ilocos Sur
  • Abra
  • Ifugao
  • Cagayan incl.Calayan and Babuyan Group of Islands
  • Isabela
  • Quirino
  • Aurora
  • Mt. Province
  • Kalinga
  • Apayao

It is currently moving west northwest as a speed of 13 km/h, and will be in the vicinity of Isabela by Wednesday morning (July 17).
