Still cloudy for parts of Luzon Thursday

MANILA, Philippines – It will still be cloudy for Cagayan Valley, Cordillera and Ilocos on Thursday, December 11, according to state weather bureau PAGASA. 

In its 24-hour public weather forecast on Wednesday, December 10, PAGASA said a northeast monsoon is affecting Northern Luzon. 

The 3 regions will experience cloudy skies with light rains on Thursday, while Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Tropical Storm Ruby (international name: Hagupit) is now at 350 km northeast of Pagasa island, Palawan, with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 80 km/h.

It is moving west in direction at 15 km/h. PAGASA also spotted a low pressure area at 1,450 km east of Mindanao. 

Coastal seas will be moderate to rough as moderate to strong winds blow from the northeast over Luzon and Visayas. Elsewhere, they will be slight to moderate as light to moderate winds blow from the northeast to east.
