MANILA, Philippines — Derrick Rose is in town.
The former NBA Most Valuable Player arrived on Friday night, September 13 for the Philippine stop of his adidas D-Rose tour this weekend.
The Chicago Bulls guard landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport aboard a Cathay Pacific flight and went straight to the Marriott Hotel just across NAIA to prepare for his two-day visit that includes watching the adidas 3 on 3 Grand Finals on Saturday, September 15 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The 2008 NBA Rookie of the Year will also talk to media in a press conference on Monday, September 16 before heading to the Mall of Asia Atrium to join a video game contest in the afternoon.
This is Rose’s second visit to the Philippines, having played an exhibition game with fellow NBA superstars Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant and Chris Paul two years ago. – Rappler.com
