MANILA, Philippines – Meralco Bolts showed multiple weapons to conquer Brgy. Ginebra, 100-87 in the PLDT myDSL PBA Philippine Cup on Tuesday, December 3 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The struggling Ginebra squad just made three field goals in the second quarter, letting the Bolts break the game wide open, 46-35 at the half.

Jared Dillinger waxed hot for 13 third quarter points while John Wilson buried back to back treys that helped Meralco erect their biggest lead at 78-53.

Ginebra started to unleash their never-say-die attitude in the fourth, hoping to turn things around. Jay-R Reyes made three straight baskets and Aguilar scored a putback as Ginebra pulled to within 66-82.

But three straight triples–one each from John Wilson, Gary David, and Mike Cortez–gave Meralco the 91-68 bubble with just under six minutes left putting the game away for good.

No more meltdowns

Meralco, which lost their first two games despite leading in the final quarter, did not let the game slip away.
