HIGHLIGHTS: Jazz vs Grizzlies – NBA Western Conference playoffs first round 2021
As the series heads back to Utah, the top-seeded Jazz look to close out the eighth-seeded Grizzlies in Game 5

After sweeping the eighth-seeded Memphis Grizzlies on the road, the top-seeded Utah Jazz are one step closer to entering the Western Conference semifinals for the first time since 2018.

Superstar guard Donovan Mitchell, who is coming off an ankle injury, has been phenomenal for the Jazz this series as he is currently averaging 28.0 points per game, and has led the team in scoring ever since his return in Game 2.

Mitchell exploded for a game-high 30 points, along with 8 assists in their 120-113 Game 4 victory to take a commanding 3-1 lead over the Grizzlies.

Meanwhile, Fil-Am Jordan Clarkson, the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year, also finally got his game going as he chipped in 24 points for the Jazz in the win.

Aside from huge performances by Mitchell and Clarkson, the Jazz also managed to contain young Grizzlies star Ja Morant to just 23 points on 8-of-21 shooting in Game 4.

The Jazz finally found ways to disrupt the high-scoring guard Morant, who was averaging 33.6 points in the first three games of the best-of-seven series.

Despite having the home court advantage and the 3-1 lead, the Jazz shouldn’t take the Grizzlies lightly as the latter had previously won two crucial knockout games in the play-in tournament, and they definitely know what it takes to win in do-or-die situations.

As the series heads back to Utah for Game 5, will the Jazz punch their ticket to the next round of the playoffs, or will the Grizzlies live to fight another day?

Game time is 9:30 am on Thursday, June 3, Manila time.
