Renzo Subido has never been shy to voice out how he really feels.

In the latest episode of the At the Buzzer podcast, the PBA rookie and former UST Tigers star speaks with host Naveen Ganglani about a wide range of topics.

Subido describes what life has been like as a PBA rookie while dealing with the coronavirus pandemic, particularly on the challenges of preparing for the next stage of his basketball career with the NorthPort Batang Pier.

The young playmaker then rewinds the clock by pulling the curtains on what life was like under head coach Aldin Ayo, before giving his honest take on UST’s “Sorsogon bubble” controversy. (READ: Why it’s hard and rewarding to play for Aldin Ayo)

Then finally, Subido relives the big shot he hit that propelled the Growling Tigers to the finals of the UAAP Season 81 men’s basketball tournament.

Naveen: What I want to know is, what was the play that was designed in the timeout before the jump shot that you took, and while the play was going on and you saw the defense Bright (Akhuetie) was playing on you, what was going through your mind?

Renzo: ‘Yung play kasi na ‘yun, actually, that play is really designed for me. Ako talaga. So, that time, nung alam namin sa amin talaga yung ball and Rhenz (Abando) was the one taking the ball out, I really asked it from coach Aldin. – Rappler.com
