
MANILA, Philippines – Apple at its 2018 Worldwide Developer’s Conference (WWDC) keynote on Monday, June 4 (June 5, Manila time), announced iOS 12 will work on devices that ran iOS 11.
Specifically, Apple’s newest mobile operating system update will work on older devices – including the iPhone 6 family – with the update reportedly improving the performance of iOS on older devices.
Apple Senior Vice President of Software Engineering Craig Federighi explained iOS 12 will be able to launch apps up to 40% faster. It can also bring the keyboard up on the iPhone 6 Plus up to 50% faster, or perform a slide motion to take a photo at up to 70% faster when compared to iOS 11. – Rappler.com
