MANILA, Philippines – PC Gamer and AMD held its pre-E3 press conference at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles on Monday, June 13 (June 14 in Manila).

AMD CEO Lisa Su then took the stage to introduce Polaris, the company’s new lineup of video cards.

She showed off a few gameplay videos of DOOM and Serious Sam using the cards and VR technology.

Su also introduced the VR Backpack with an Alienware reference design and AMD’s latest video card, the Polaris RX 480. 

AMD also featured its updated CPU units with its Zen core, and even showed gameplay of DOOM using Zen core.

Tripwire Entertainment introduced an upcoming content pack for Killing Floor 2, Bullseye, with new weapons, perks, community maps, and characters.

John Gibson, President of Tripwire Entertainment, even found a way to plug a little comedy into the presentation by playing the sound of a monster found in Bullseye.

He also took the time to introduce its latest collaboration with Oculus, Killing Floor Incursion, which was met with positive reactions and applause from the crowd. Oculus gave a full VR experience to the horror-themed game.

Time-bending shooter Superhot will also be getting a VR makeover, it was announced.

Afterwards, Bohemia Interactive took the stage to discuss ARMA III, promising new weapon sets, a jungle terrain in the South Pacific region and a new expansion called Apex.

ARMA III: Apex will be available on July 11.

The last game slated for the show was Deus Ex: Mankind Divided by Eidos Montreal, and was met with loud cheers and applause from the crowd. The producers showed gameplay footage from the first level of the game, Dubai, on the PC.

The conference ended with OtherSide Entertainment Director Warren Spector, taking the stage not to make any formal announcements but to discuss the history of the PC as a gaming platform.

Spector credited the rise of PC in 2016 to social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitch. 

“We live in a golden age; an age where anyone can make a game, where there is a game for everyone, where price points range from freemium to premium, and whereas the distribution method to meet anyone’s needs. And right at the heart of these things is the good ol’ PC; no, the great new PC,” Spector said.
