Over 9,000 people have been forced to evacuate their homes in the town of Wagga Waaga in New South Wales, Australia following record-high rains over the last week. Two men were killed when their cars were swept away by the rampaging flood. The Murrumbridgee river in Waaga Waaga is expected to peak at 10.9 meters, higher than any major flood in the area since 1844. Last February thousands were also evacuated in the nearby state of Queensland. Flood warnings have already been raised in Queensland and Victoria.
