Icy cool Pharell cries tears of joy on Oprah

It’s a sight you won’t often see – eternally cool, unruffled Pharrell breaking down in tears over his own song. During an interview with none other than Oprah Winfrey, Pharrell talked about his work and his music. “Zero airplay, nothing. And the next thing you know, we put out the video… and all of a sudden, BOOM,” he told Oprah, about “Happy.” “It was no longer my song,” he said. “It’s overwhelming because I love what I do and I just appreciate the fact that like, people have believed in me so long that I can make it to this point to feel that,” he said through tears.
