MANILA, Philippines – Filipinos nationwide will hold anti-pork barrel protests in different provinces and cities in solidarity with the Million People March Against Pork Barrel at the Luneta on National Heroes Day, August 26.

This mass action, initiated by citizens on the web, is protesting the abuse of the pork barrel and calling for its abolition.
President Benigno Aquino announced Friday plans to overhaul the Priority Development Assistance Fund.
Protests will also happen in different provinces and cities nationwide.
