It is finally fight week in Las Vegas. Just 4 days away from the fight of the century, the atmosphere is electric in the City of Sin. Here, Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao will meet in the ring Saturday, May 2, to decide once and for all who the best pound for pound fighter is today.

As Vegas prepares for one of history’s biggest fights, the buzz is tangible. Posters of the fight line the city. And both fighters are now settled here.

Pacquiao arrives from Los Angeles where he was training, to a sea of eager, mostly Filipino fans. His grand entrance is at Mandalay Bay, after he decides to bypass MGM Grand for perceived favoritism towards Mayweather. It does’t matter, because the welcome is still overwhelming.

Mayweather is from Las Vegas but he also holds his grand entrance today, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena where the fight will take place. There is hip hop music and a marching band, as Mayweather greets his legion of fans.

The fight, which took more than 5 years to finalize, is expected to generate as much as $400 million, the biggest purse in boxing history. The purse is split 60-40 in the undefeated American boxer’s favor. Betting odds also favor Mayweather.

Both boxers wrap up their training with some light runs and gym sessions this week. Now that both boxers are here, expect more build up to the fight as fans and media trickle in from all over the world in the following days.
