But former Vice President Joe Biden pointed out Trump downplayed the severity of the virus as early as January 2020.

Trump earlier said the virus would be gone by Easter and by summer.

During the second and final presidential debate, Democratic candidate and former vice president Joe Biden again slams President Donald Trump for having “no comprehensive plan” to handle the coronavirus pandemic in America.

Biden meanwhile said he will encourage everyone to wear a mask all the time and focus on rapid testing, national standards, and how to open schools.

“I will take care of this, I will end this, I will make sure we have a plan.”

Trump claims vaccine ‘ready’ in weeks

“We have a vaccine thats coming. It’s ready. It will be announced in weeks. We have Operation Warp speed. The military is going to distribute the vaccine.”

But asked by moderator Kristen Welker if it’s realistic, Trump said that it is not a guarantee: “It has a good chance within a matter of weeks.”

Senate committee approves Trump court nominee, Democrats say vote ‘too close’ to presidential election

The Senate Judiciary Committee pushed through US President Donald Trump’s conservative pick for the Supreme Court, Amy Coney Barrett, Thursday, October 22 – the same day the final presidential debate between Trump and Joe Biden is happening.

The unanimous vote, with all Democrats absent, sets the stage for full Senate approval at the beginning of next week on Barrett, who will tilt the high court firmly to the right.

On Wednesday, October 21, Democrats labeled the rushed nomination process a “sham” that broke former Republican promises to never vote on a Supreme Court nominee so close to a presidential election. Read the full story here.
