MANILA, Philippines — Here is a list of schools and areas where classes have been suspended for Tuesday, August 20, as compiled by Rappler. Please refresh this page for updates.

The National Disaster Risk Reducation Management Council, in its third advisory today, announced the suspension of classes in all levels in the following areas: 

• Pangasinan
• Benguet
• Bataan
• Zambales
• Tarlac
• Pampanga
• Bulacan
• Rizal
• Laguna
• Cavite
• Batangas
• Occidental Mindoro
• Metro Manila

Schools, colleges and universities

• Arellano University (Classes and office operations in all campuses)
• Ateneo de Manila University (Classes in all levels including the Loyola Schools; office operations); Ateneo Law School (including bar review classes); Ateneo Graduate School of Business (Classes in all levels)
• Baliuag University (Classes in all levels)
• Centro Escular University Malolos (Classes in all levels and office operations)
• Colegio de San Juan de Letran Manila (Classes in all levels and office operations)
• De La Salle University Dasmariñas, Ortigas, College of Saint Benilde, Taft, Makati, and Science and Technology Complex campuses (Classes in all levels and office operations); Araneta; Lipa (Classes from preschool to highschool)
• Diliman Preparatory School (Classes in all levels)
• Don Bosco Technical College (Classes in all levels and office operations)

The Chief Justice has also ordered the suspension of court work in the National Capital Region, including the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Court of Tax Appeals and Sandiganbayan. Executive Justices for courts outside Metro Manila are given the discretion to suspend work. 

Torrential rain from Sunday, August 18, to Monday, August 19, prompted the provincial governments of Cavite and Laguna to declare a state of calamity in their areas. The municipalities of Sta Maria and Narvacan in Ilocus Sur are also under a state of calamity. 

Work in Metro Manila government offices was also suspended on Monday, August 19. According to a study by the Manila Observatory, Southern parts of Metro Manila bore the brunt of overnight torrential rains.
