MANILA, Philippines – Mina, member of hit K-pop girl group TWICE, has pulled out from the group’s global TWICELIGHTS Tour due to “sudden extreme anxiety and insecurity toward performing on stage.”
On Thursday, July 11, TWICE’s management JYP Entertainment released a statement on Mina’s decision and health status on the official fan website.
“Mina is currently struggling with extreme anxiety and insecurity,” the statement read.
“No exact diagnosis has been identified yet, we are consulting with several medical professionals to verify the cause in detail.”
JYP also stated that after an “extensive discussion with Mina and the members of TWICE,” Mina’s current condition would be requiring further treatment, testing, and a pullout from the TWICE WORLD TOUR 2019.
“We will do everything we can to provide you with the best and most convenient medical treatment. We sincerely ask for fans’ support so Mina can get well soon,” JYP added.
The band also shared the statement on Twitter.
