Showbiz couples: Confirmed, almost, maybe?

MANILA, Philippines – Some celebrity couples wear their hearts on their sleeves, while some keep their personal lives under lock and key.

Angel Locsin and Luis Manzano for example, have recently confirmed their rekindled relationship, while Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia remain in the courtship stage. Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli, however, are still silent about their current status.

Angel Locsin meets the family… again

Around 3 weeks after actor Luis Manzano confirmed that he was back together with ex-girlfriend actress Angel Locsin, the couple’s Instagram photos showed them bonding with Manzano’s family.

All smiles for the photos were Manzano’s mother Vilma Santos. In previous interviews, the Batangas Governor said she is confident that her son knows how to decide for himself in terms of his relationships.

“Having dinner with these 2 lovely ladies, the mommy and the girlfriend,” read a caption on Manzano’s Instagram photo showing Locsin and Santos.

Meanwhile, Locsin, who described Manzano as an “awesome boyfriend” in her photo caption, said she “missed them (Manzano’s family) so much.

 

Manzano and Locsin first became a couple in July 2007. Around two years later, the couple broke up, eventually moving on to have relationships with new partners. After 3 years without communication, Locsin publicly confessed her feelings for Manzano early this year. A month later, Manzano said in an interview with Buzz ng Bayan, that he is “proudly her boyfriend.”

No labels, no rush for Coleen Garcia

Singer and TV host Billy Crawford has been vocal about his courtship of model Coleen Garcia, but the apple of his eye remains coy regarding their current status.

“Hindi naman ako naiilang, nahihiya lang talaga ako,” Garcia told Pep.ph about how Crawford often puts her “on the spot” when talking about their relationship. (I am not awkward, I’m just shy about it.)

On the February 20 episode of noon time show Showtime, Crawford stole the scene when he asked Garcia regarding the chances of them becoming a couple. To this, Garcia answered with a sheepish yes.

Although Garcia confirmed that Crawford has been courting her, she told Pep that their relationship has “no labels” and that she has learned to take her time. “There’s no rush,” she said.

Before Crawford’s brewing romance with Garcia, the singer was in a 5-year relationship with actress Nikki Gil, with whom he broke up in July 2013. Rumors pointed to Garcia as a factor in the split, but both Crawford and Garcia have vehemently denied this. 

Still unconfirmed: Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Gudicelli

“Hindi ko naman tinatago, hindi ko lang sinasabi (I’m not hiding it, I’m just not saying anything),” said Matteo Gudicelli reacting to actor Luis Manzano who, in a recent episode of game show Minute To Win It, teased him regarding his mysterious relationship status with singer Sarah Geronimo.

Gudicelli and Geronimo have been a rumored couple since October 2013, but the two have since dodged rumors and evaded questions regarding their real status. In a recent interview with Buzz ng Bayan, Geronimo once again opted not to comment on the rumors.

Gudicelli, however, has been more open about the issue, albeit not giving any specific answers.

According to the Buzz ng Bayan report, Gudicelli once said that Sarah is “very special” to him.

“Gusto ko talagang sabihin pero I don’t think it’s the right time.” (I really want to say something about it, but I don’t think it’s the right time.)

“I want to respect what Sarah and I have. In the right time, we’ll see… She’s very special to me, isa siyang inspirasyon sa’kin. (She is an inspiration to me.)” – Rappler.com
