MANILA, Philippines – On December 6, Ayala Malls brought another first in Philippine entertainment: Filipino pride Miss Lea Salonga and British classical quartet Blake performed in a back-to-back concert at the new Glorietta activity center in an event dubbed “Wrapped in Love,” a silent auction hosted by RJ Ledesma.
Lea and Blake (Humphrey Barney, Oliver Baines, Stephen Bowman and Jules Knight) were accompanied by the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Lea’s brother, Gerard Salonga. The Consortium of Voices added their angelic vocals to the evening’s performances.
It is Blake’s 4th time in the Philippines.
The silent auction saw art, jewelry, gift certificates and other items from distinguished artists, celebrities, institutions and Ayala Malls merchants auctioned off.
Proceeds went to the Ayala Foundation as well as their partner foundations Habitat for Humanity, Hero Foundation and the World Wildlife Fund. – Rappler.com
