With most Pinoys crazy about Jollibee’s iconic ChickenJoy, it only makes sense to finally put its fillet version in between two buns. Thankfully, this is exactly what the homegrown fast-food giant finally did on Tuesday, November 23, and we can say: it’s about time!
It’s winner winner chicken dinner for anybody who enjoys a good ‘ol filling crispy chicken sandwich. Jollibee’s new Chick’nwich doesn’t scrimp on the chicken – the whole chicken fillet almost sticks out of the sandwich, and is heavily breaded in ChickenJoy’s signature coating. The chicken is crunchy on the outside, but juicy and tender on the inside; the texture and flavor stays true to its predecessor.
The chicken fillet is sandwiched in between two soft, buttery brioche buns, and is packed with a tangy-sweet, creamy honey mustard mayo dressing. The addition of dill pickle slices are welcome – they add a nice crunch and fresh tang to the very savory sandwich.
The Jollibee Chick’nwich is available as a solo order for P130 and with fries and a drink for P175. It can be ordered in select Mega Manila stores for now, and is available for take-out, drive-thru, and delivery via the Jollibee app, website, hotline number, GrabFood, or foodpanda. – Rappler.com
