MANILA, Philippines – Recent Philippine Fashion Week [#PhFW] seasons have always featured the SM Department Store.

Past seasons saw collections from their accessories, children’s wear and ladies’ wear groups in partnership with their shoes and bags department. After all, shoes have been the flagship product of SM since the late 1950s.

SM Shoes and Bags opened #PhFW Spring-Summer 2014 on Day 1, on Wednesday, October 23. The show opened at Hall 2 of the SMX Convention Center in the Mall of Asia. The 7:30 pm show followed Petit Monde’s 6:30 pm show at the mall’s main atrium.

The show featured shoes and bags from men’s lines Milanos and Salvatorre Man, and women’s line Parisian. Unlike other retail brands in #PhFW, SM Shoes and Bags showcased products already available in the department store this holiday season.

Salvatorre Man endorser Luis Manzano and Parisian endorser KC Concepcion closed the show. Milanos endorser Sam Milby could not make it to the event, but the new collection of boots, driving shoes, and penny loafers made up for his absence.

Philippine Fashion Week runs until Sunday, October 27, at the SM Mall of Asia.
