A magnitude 6.1 earthquake rocked Sarangani province in Mindanao Wednesday morning, December 16, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Phivolcs reported that the quake hit at 7:22 am, had a depth of 54 kilometers, and was tectonic in origin. The epicenter was in the municipality of Alabel.

Intensity IV – Kiamba, Sarangani; Tupi and Koronadal City, South Cotabato
Intensity III – Alabel, Sarangani; Kidapawan City
