WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The canvassing of votes for party-list groups and senators is underway at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.

The Commission on Elections convened as the National Board of Canvassers to officially count the votes.

Figures that are formally tallied during the canvassing are considered the partial, official results of the 2022 senatorial and party-list races.

Nearly half of COCs already officially tallied

As of Wednesday night, May 11, 82 certificates of canvass for the senatorial and party-list race have already been tallied, out of the total 173 COCs.

The Commission on Elections as the National Board of Canvassers NBOC halted its proceedings and will resume the session on Thursday, May 12.

First batch of partial, official senatorial race results out

Robin Padilla topped the partial and official count of votes for the senatorial race, based on the first wave of certificates of canvass tallied by the National Board of Canvassers.

A total of eight certificates of canvass were officially counted, covering only 7 areas in Cordillera Administrative Region (Baguio, Abra, Ifugao, Benguet, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province), and Malabon.

The top 12 senators are as follows:
