MANILA, Philippines – Typhoon Nina (Prapiroon) maintained its strength as it continues to hover east of Cagayan on Wednesday, October 10.

Nina was last spotted 910 km east of Aparri, Cagayan (18.4ºN, 131.4ºE), with maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h near the center and gusts of up to 150 km/h.

The rest of the country, meanwhile, will be partly cloudy to cloudy with brief rain or thunderstorms, the bureau said.

Moderate to strong winds from the north to northwest will be felt in Luzon and Eastern Visayas, and will come from the northwest to west over the rest of the country.

Aside from Nina, there are no other major weather disturbances in the country.
