HIGHLIGHTS: Lakers vs Suns – NBA Western Conference playoffs first round 2021
As the series shifts back to Los Angeles, the defending champion Lakers aim to force a Game 7 against the red-hot Suns

After a convincing 115-85 Game 5 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, the Phoenix Suns are one win away from advancing to the Western Conference semifinals for the first time in 11 years.

In only his first playoff appearance, All-Star guard Devin Booker has been carrying the red-hot Suns this series as he is currently averaging 26.2 points per game.

The 24-year-old Booker led the way for the Suns in their crucial Game 5 win as he finished with a game-high 30 points on 13-of-23 shooting, to go with 7 rebounds and 5 assists.

With superstar guard Chris Paul not at 100% due to a shoulder injury, seldom-used guard Cameron Payne has also been a revelation for the Suns in the playoffs as he chipped in 16 points off the bench.

On the other hand, the defending champion Lakers are clearly struggling without star big man Anthony Davis, who did not see action in Game 5 due to a groin injury.

With Davis still listed as “questionable” to play in Game 6, the Lakers will need more from superstar LeBron James, who obviously wasn’t pleased with their performance and was seen walking off the court with five minutes remaining in their 30-point Game 5 loss.

As the scene shifts back to Los Angeles, will the Suns close out the series in six games, or will the Lakers bounce back and force a Game 7?

Game time is 10:30 am on Friday, June 4, Manila time.
