About Lance Spencer Yu
Lance Spencer Yu is a multimedia reporter who covers the transportation, tourism, infrastructure, finance, agriculture, and corporate sectors, as well as macroeconomic issues.
He first joined Rappler as an intern in 2022. He has since been preoccupied with data journalism, combining hard numbers and a human element to tell nuanced stories.
Lance received multiple awards as a feature writer for The LaSallian, the official student publication of De La Salle University-Manila where he earned a degree in Management of Financial Institutions, graduating magna cum laude.
Outside the newsroom, Lance enjoys taking an early morning run before unwinding with a documentary and a bowl of white cheddar popcorn.
