MANILA, Philippines – It was a fairytale wedding fit for a princess – or rather, one of Manila’s sought-after stars Heart Evangelista, who married her prince – Senator Chiz Escudero at Balesin Island Club, February 15. She and Chiz later threw a reception for their friends based in Manila, who couldn’t make it to Balesin.

At her Balesin wedding, Heart floated down the aisle in a show-stopping wedding dress by Ezra Santos. It was an intricate creation featuring a sweetheart neckline, delicate overlays and a cinched-in waist.
Speaking to Star Studio magazine back in November, Heart said this of her dress: “I want it (the gown) very simple…I want it to be something like Grace Kelly’s. Siyempre as an artista, you always show a lot of skin. So I just want to be very conservative on that day. Just very simple and timeless yung dress, na even if you look at it years from now, hindi mahihiya. (You won’t be ashamed of it.)”
The look enhances, not obscures Heart’s natural beauty, focusing on making her eyes pop, and featuring a healthy, rosy glow.
Heart wore a small headpiece, so hairstylist Jerry Javier created a simple bun that kept all the focus on Heart’s dress and features.
A sweet touch to Heart’s overall look, also shared by Jerry on Instagram – this detail on Heart’s bouquet:
