Add “Avenger” to Philippine telecommunications giant Smart’s growing list of celebrity endorsers.

Smart on Thursday, March 4, released a TVC that featured actor Chris Evans. The commercial, directed by Pascal Heiduk, is part of Smart’s “Live Smarter for a Better World” campaign.

Chris is best known for portraying Captain America aka Steve Rogers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He’s starred in several titles under the franchise, including all the Captain America and Avengers movies. He last appeared in Avengers: Endgame, the penultimate movie in the “Infinity Saga.”

He has since starred in several movies following his last appearance in the MCU, including the critically-acclaimed Knives Out.

In 2020, Chris launched A Starting Point, a “civic engagement video-based app that helps voters better understand the issues of the day.” The project features interviews with politicians from both the Republican and Democratic parties, in order to create a “bipartisan channel of communication and connectivity between Americans and their elected officials.”

Chris is Smart’s biggest Hollywood endorser to date and joins the ranks of the biggest stars from both here and abroad.

Since 2020, Smart has signed deals with several big names in the entertainment industry, including South Korean actors Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin, and boy group BTS. They have also signed Filipino band Ben&Ben into their roster of endorsers. – Rappler.com
